Ira has been in love with sports cars and motorsports since the days of Jim Clark and long dreamed of being a racer. He became an active DE driver with PBOC and PCA in 1999 and, after becoming an instructor, fulfilled that boyhood dream by graduating through PBOC's training program to earn his first race license in 2002. Since then, along with his nephew and co-driver, Drew Altman, he has campaigned a Porsche 944 Turbo and Cayman S in PBOC, NASA and FARA races (too many to count), and is looking forward to running a newly acquired 997S race car in its first PBOC race at the Kids Racing For Life event in September. Racing highpoint - finishing 1st in class and 4th overall in the 2017 PBOC 6 hour Race Into the Night at Sebring. Ira looks forward to building upon the existing PBOC race program and helping other drivers make their racing dreams a reality.
